Fast-growing second-tier side Emmanuel FC came from behind to draw 2-2 with Star Madrid in a friendly match at the Lizzy Sports Complex on Friday.
The Teshie-based outfit went into the match on the back of two winless run after losing 2-1 to Dreams FC and drawing goalless with Liberty Professionals at the Carl Reindhorf Park in midweek.
Richard Kingson's men were hoping to bounce back from the two disappointing games but were stunned in the 9th minute after David Gametsi beat goalkeeper Eugene Adjei from close range.
The Zylofon-owned side extended their lead despite having less of ball possession courtesy Eric Dupey in the 19th minute.
Emmanuel FC came from recess more determined and deservedly reduced the deficit through Ernest Peter Adiwoh in the 59th minute.
The match looked like ending in another disappointing loss for Emmanuel FC up until Ernest Peter Adiwoh restored parity on the 90th minute mark to seal a remarkable comeback.
Emmanuel FC have been engaging in high-profile matches since the league was abruptly halted following the Anas Number 12 documentary which revealed rot in Ghana football.
