Ghanaian youngster Asumah Abubakar has parted ways with Dutch Eredivisie side Willem II after two seasons.
The youngster, who has already played for the youth side of Portugal joined Willem in 2016 but sustained a fractured fibula which ruled him out for most part of last season.
The club confirmed the two parties have gone separate ways on their website.
“Willem II has not come to an agreement with Asumah Abubakar. The 21-year-old striker signed in 2016 with the Tricolores and played 16 official matches in the Eredivisie. The last year he suffered a fibula injury. Asumah, thank you for your commitment and success in the continuation of your career!”
Asumah Abubakar was on target last week when Willem II drew 1-1 with KAA Gent in their pre season campaign.
The 21 year old has played 16 times for the club.
Despite playing for the u-19 team of Portugal, Asumah Abubakar could still play for Ghana, his country of birth.
