Evans Mensah scored for HJK in their 3-1 win over Vikingur of Faroe Islands on Tuesday night to advance to the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round.
The Ghanaian youngster gave the Finnish champions a two-zero lead in the tenth minute.
Joao Klauss had opened the scoring in the opening minute.
Moshtagh Yaghoubi made it 3-0 by the 19th minute before Vikingur pulled one back on 21 minutes through Gunnar Vatnhamar.
Mensah was withdrawn in the 71st minute and his position taken by Enoch Banza but former Ghana midfielder Evans Mensah lasted the entire duration for HJK.
