Communications Director of Ministry of Youth and Sports, Elvis Adjei-Baah has dismissed reports that Kudjoe Fianoo has withdrawn from government's 5-member interim management committee.
Fianoo was reported to have accepted an offer from government to serve as the secretary of the five-member committee to be chaired by Dr. Kofi Amoah and has former Black Stars players Abedi Pele and Rev. Osei Kofi as well as Sports Journalist Eva Okyere as members.
However, reports went widespread that Fianoo, who is the chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), has pulled out due to ‘conflict of interest’.
But during an interview with Asempa FM, Mr Adjei Baah rejected the claims as he indicated that his outfit is yet to receive an official letter to that effect.
“We are yet to receive a withdrawal letter from Kudjoe Fianoo,” he told Asempa FM.
“We are only hearing it on radio, but we have not been officially informed. Because of that we can’t take what is been said on radio as the official communiqué from Fianoo.”
