France-based goalkeeper Lawrence Ati Zigi will get his first Ghana start on Wednesday when the Black Stars take on Iceland in a pre-World Cup friendly.
Coach Kwesi Appiah has named the former youth international in his starting line-up for the match to be played in Reykjavik.
The coach kept faith with most of the players who have recently had the chance of playing in the side with Andy Yiadom and Lumor Agbenyenu plauing at the right and left back respectively.
Switzerland-based powerful centre-back Kasim Nuhu returns to the starting line after sitting on the bench in the previous match against and he will partner fast-rising Nicholas Opoku at the heart of the defence.
Thomas Partey, captain of the side, will man the heart of the midfield with Attamah Larweh with Edwin Gyasi playing from the right wing while Nana Ampomah will fight from the left.
Talented striker Raphael Dwamena will also return to the starting line up to partner slippery striker Emmanuel Boateng.
The Black Stars are chasing their second successive friendly victory over a World Cup bound team after brushing Japan side last week.
Kwesi Appiah is preparing his squad for the resumption of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers while seeking to regain their dropping position on the FIFA rankings.
