German Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg have joined the race to sign Ghana defender Nicholas Opoku from Club Africain, GHANASoccernet.com understands.
The Tunisian club have already received a lucrative offer from Italian top-flight side Udinese with negotiations far advanced
But the German side want to steal a march on the Serie A side to land Opoku in the coming weeks.
GHANAsoccernet.com understands Opoku's display against Japan in Wednesday's international friendly convinced the Germans to join the fight for his services.
The 21 year-old centre back moved from Berekum Chelsea to Club Africain last year and has since been a stalwart attracting many suitors.
