The first badge of recipients and award categories for Calcio Trade Ball have been announced, with three former Juventus stars recipients of the top three awards available.
The third edition is due for June 10 at Kempinski Hotel, Accra.
Former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah is taking the topmost award, CTB Order of the Star whilst Kwadwo Asamoah and Richmond Boakye-Yiadom are in for the Community Service and Football Icon of the Year awards respectively.
Appiah who spent years in Italian football, is being recognised for what the organisers described as ''distinctive acknowledgement of his consistency for both club and country during his playing day''.
Asamoah's 'Prisons Project' is the reason for his award.
His ‘’dedicated volunteerism through the construction of a football pitch for inmates of the James Camp Prison in Accra’’ is the reason for the CTB award.
@CalcioTradeBall, the official Twitter handle for the event, tweeted that Boakye will be honoured, ''in recognition of his prolific record-breaking goal scoring record of 2017.''
Boakye scored 42 goals in 48 matches in 2017, placing him amongst the top-10 scorers in world football.
Under the auspices of the Embassy of Italy and staged by ArthurLegacy, CTB is a one-night event celebrating the football relationship between Italy and Ghana.
Players who have had contracts in Italy before or presently are considered.
