Division Two side Republicans draw 2-2 with Namibia U20 in friendly

Greater Accra Division Two League side Republicans FC drew 2-2 with Namibia U20 team at the Legon Sports Stadium on Wednesday afternoon in an international friendly.

Namibia scored the opening goal through the impressive Rivaldo Festus, who drove home a sweet free-kick past the Republicans human wall and the hapless Abdullah Jabir in the 13th minute.

But Daniel Afriyie cancelled his effort in the last quarter of the first half.

Five minutes into the second half, Afriyie gave the hosts a 2-1 lead.

Rivaldo, the Namibia right winger, kept his composure to drill low past Jabir after his side were awarded a penalty in the 57th minute of the game.
