West Ham United captain Mark Noble says Andre Ayew deserved to be the hero for the club on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup.
Ayew scored twice for the Hammers as they came back from 2-0 down against Tottenham Hotspur to win 3-2 and advanced to the quarter-finals.
Ayew had struggled to find the back of the net prior to the contest, having scored just one Premier League goal.
Noble said after the win: "Don't get me wrong, you need a bit of luck. Andre Ayew knows where the ball is going to drop.
"He's had a bit of stick but he keeps on grinding and he deserved that."
