Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Boateng left out UD Levante squad for Copa del Rey clash against Getafe

UD Levante have had a difficult return to the Spanish La Liga, but they will be looking to making a big impact in the Copa del Rey as they gear up to face Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez on Tuesday.

And coach Lopez Muñiz has chosen the 18 players who will try to recover the path of victory in the Copa del Rey round of 16 clash against fellow La Liga strugglers Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

However, there was no place in the squad for Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Boateng, who joined the club in the summer from Portuguese side Moreirense for a club record fee of €2 million, but has largely failed to impressive in the nine eight games he’s played.

The Asturian tactician will go into the encounter with Nano Mesa and Alex Alegria as his preferred options in attack of the Asturian technician.

Goalkeeper Mitchell Langerak, Erick Cabaco and Sasa Lukic have also been axed from the squad while Jason, Ivan Lopez and Roger are injured.
