Eintracht Frankfurt coach Niko Kovac says he will give Ghana forward Kevin-Prince Boateng a break in the Tuesday's DFB Pokal clash against lower-tier side FC Schweinfurt 05.
The 30-year-old has been ever present for the Eagles since joining from Las Palmas, scoring one goal in nine appearances in the Bundesliga.
And as the club prepare for the clash against the Regionallaliga Bayern side, coach Kovac says it’s the right time to give the former AC Milan ace a respite.
"Kevin has to be a bit spoiled, has some catching up. And that will take some time,” Kovac said.
"If you only drive in the red speed range, the V-belt will tear."
Boateng is expected to return to the side for the Friday’s derby clash with FSV Mainz 05.
