Chelsea manager Antonio Conte says he is expecting Ghana defender Abdul Baba Rahman to make a return before the new year ends.
The 23-year-old suffered an interior cruciate ligament injury in January while on international duty with the Black Stars at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
However, Conte has revealed that the Ghanaian is just few months away from playing as he will be back before the year ends.
“We are hoping that he [Baba Rahman] would be back before the year ends,” Conte revealed.
“He is an option [for us] and we are even short of men but we have to take it carefully because his situation was complicated.”
Rahman was registered by Chelsea for the league season as a replacement for Loic Remy who left for Las Palmas on Summer transfer day deadline.
