English side Aston Villa are among three clubs keeping tabs on Aalesund FK Ghanaian winger Edwin Gyasi, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
German outfit Schalke 04 and Turkish side Bursaspor are the two other clubs who are keeping an interest in the Dutch-born wideman.
Gyasi has emerged as a target for the three clubs after an explosive season in the Norwegian Eliteserien .
GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal the English Championship side appears the leading contender for his signature after sending scouts to monitor him for several weeks.
Villa have held informal discussions with the player's representative with the winger interested in leaving once Aalesund FK sanction the move.
"Yes it's true that Aston Villa are interested in me but as it stands now I have a contract with Aalesund FK and everything depends on the club," he told GHANAsoccernet.com
"There are also Schalke and Bursaspor who have been talking to my agent.
"I have given the club the go ahead to discuss the issue with my club and if they approve it, we'll see what happens.
"But at the moment, I have a contract here in Norway and wants to respect that. But anything can happen."
The former Rod JC winger has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign since he joined the Norwegian outfit last year.
The highly-rated Ghanaian has scored nine goals in 42 appearances in the Eliteserien since joining last summer.
The speedy wideman, born to Ghanaian parents in the Netherlands, has featured for Dutch sides AZ, De Graafschap, Heracles Almelo FC, Twente and Roda JC before joining the Norwegian side.
His contract with Aalesund FK runs till December 2018.
