Italian-born Ghanaian defender Claud Adjapong has penned a new five-year deal with Serie A side Sassuolo.
Adjapong was promoted to the first team last season and quickly won over former coach Eusebio Francesco with assured performances.
The 19-year-old’s initial contract was expected to end this summer but following his desire to continue his stay at the Mapei Stadium-Città del Tricolore his stay has extended his deal up to the summer of 2022.

He made 9 appearances in the league last season and scored a goal against Cagliari. He also featured once in the Coppa Italia and played three times in Sassuolo’s Europa League campaign.
