Abdul Majeed Waris' ally at Lorient Benjamin Moukandjo is set to join Chinese side Jiangu Suning.
The 28-year-old is heavily tipped for the exit door this summer following the side's relegation from the French top-flight last season.
The Cameroonian formed a deadly partnership with Waris, scoring an impressive 13 goals in 25 appearances while the Ghanaian netted 9 times.
Moukandjo is contracted to the Merlus until June 2018 but the Nanjing-based side are willing to pay € 5.5 million for his capture.
