Aduana Stars were involved in a goalless draw game against Wa All Stars in week 9 outstanding fixture of the Ghana Premier League at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Thursday.
Aduana lived up to their match favourites tag in the early part of the match, as they battered the away side with some delightful display but failed to create any clear-cut goal scoring opportunity before centre referee Prince Amoah brought the first half to a close.
Wa All Stars came back strongly after the recess, as they tried to use counter attacking tactics but it proved futile. They were limited to long range shooting as their build up play looked unconvincing.
On the 71st minute mark, Aduana Stars forward Bright Adjei failed to capitalize on a defensive mishap to put his side ahead as his ambitious shot flew over the goal post to the dismay of their supporters.
The home side continued to probed for the advantage but the back four of Wa All Stars shielded by the impressive Moses Nyarko stood resolute to the challenge.
The latter stages of the game saw the visitors looking a real threat going forward, and nearly got the opener as Paul Asare Devries fierce shot was tipped over the cross bar by Joseph Addo.
That was the last real action of the match as the game ended in a scoreless draw.
Aduana Stars maintained their 2nd spot on the log with 22 points from 11 matches whiles Wa All Stars leapfrogged Tema Youth to 7th position.
