Asante Kotoko have confirmed they will incur no cost after terminating the contract of head coach Zdravko Lugarusic four months into his two-year contract.
The Porcupine Warriors cut ties with the Croat after Sunday's 0-0 draw with Ebusua Dwarfs at home.
Kotoko felt the club needed a change in technical direction despite Lugarusic leading them to second place on the table.
Unlike previous cases, Kotoko won't pay compensation for the contract termination
"I drafted the contract for the coach and I can confidently say that the termination of Luga's contract will not cost the team anything. It won't cost the team financially in anyway," Kotoko's legal team Yaw Boafo told Metro FM
"It was a very difficult decision to terminate Luga's contract at the middle of the season but we felt that the club needs to change it's technical direction.
"The current happenings in the club does not befits the standard of a team like Kotoko.
"We have not decided on who will be the next coach for Asante Kotoko yet.
"The termination was not due to what the supporters did at the training grounds."
