Hammarby midfielder Gershon Koffie debuts in Swedish Allsvenskan

Hammarby midfielder Gershon Koffie played his first Swedish top-flight match on Sunday in their 1-1 draw with Kalmar IF.

The 25-year-old missed their opener at Norrkoping last week due to injury but won the fitness battle to start.

However, he was replaced in the 55th minute by Johan Person.

Countryman Joseph Aidoo lasted the entire duration in the home match.

Koffie left MLS side New England Revolution and was available on a free transfer.
