Ex-Liberty Professionals midfielder Isaac Sackey inspired his Alanyaspor side to a 3-2 win over struggling Gaziantepspor in the Turkish Super Lig.
The visitors dominated the game with a 3-0 lead until the home side fought back to score twice with five minutes to end the game but their efforts were little too late.
Sackey, 23, was the chief architect of the Gaziantepspor destruction as he stopped all the dangerous moves of the home side, in a game that saw fellow Ghanaian Fatau Mohammed joining the action in the early minutes of the second half.
The mercurial midfielder was stupendous in his tackles and ball distribution in guiding his side to the important away win.
Gaziantepspor had to wait for the Ghanaian to be substituted before getting their two consolation goals.
Marcos Pedroso reduced the tally to 3-1in the 87th minute after Sackey was substituted in the 83rd minute before Ghillas converted a spot kick in additional time to end the game 3-2.
The win has sent Alanyaspor 10th on the table with Gaziantepspor slipping to 16th on the 18-club league table.
