Ghanaian midfielder Godfred Donsah returned to the Bologna starting XI in their 1-0 defeat to Fiorentina in the Seria A on Sunday.
The 20-year-old has struggled to cement his position in the team largely due to injury and competition.
The former Ghana Under-20 midfielder, who played 20 games and scored twice last season, has found life frustrating this term.
The African has played only nine games so far, five as a starter.
However, coach Roberto Donadoni gave the Ghanaian a chance to stake a claim in the team after handing him his sixth start of the campaign.
Donsah was bought for 7 million Euros from Cagliari two seasons ago.
