Italian coach Fabrizio Ravanelli, who has applied to coach Ghana, is eyeing off the manager's job at English Premier League side Middlesbrough.
The Middlesbrough legend wants to replace Aitor Karanka as the club's new manager.
This means he could snub the Black Stars if he get the chance to coach the English club.
Ravanelli, who scored 17 goals in 35 appearances for Boro, told The Sun: “I'm so sorry Karanka was sacked.
“Last season he made an incredible work and probably this year he had some problems.
“But of course I would like to become the new manager. It's my main goal and my dream to come back.
“I am and I will be so happy and proud if I will be the new manager of Boro in the next season."
Ghana is without a coach since the departure of Avram Grant.
