Leicester City’s EPL survival will earn Danish side FC Copenhagen over £250K in Amartey transfer
Danish side FC Copenhagen will earn close to 300K from English champions Leicester City if they survive the Premier League drop.
The Danish club have a stake in Leicesters survival and are hoping for an upcoming financial boost.
Reports are that Copenhagen structured Amarteys contract to Leicester City such that they will benefit from the English side whether they qualify for UEFA Champions League or survive the league.
Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet reports that Copenhagen inserted clauses which saw them receive a bonus if Leicester qualified for the Champions League, but also if they avoided relegation.
