Ghana Beach Soccer President Ampofo Ankrah gets key WABSU appointment
The newly formed West African Beach Soccer Union (WABSU) has appointed Ghana's Yaw Ampofo Ankrah to head the media, communications and branding department of the body. This was confirmed on Sunday evening following a post tournament meeting of executives and pioneer founders. Ampofo Ankrah is widely regarded as the man who brought organised beach soccer to Ghana and initiated the formation of the Black Sharks, the National Beach Soccer team in 2013.
