Ghana's 2018 World Cup opponents Congo have fired coachPierre Lechantre following the side's unflattering campaign in the qualifiers.
The Frenchman has been relieved off duty following the side's disastrous start to the World Cup qualifiers.
The Red Devils are without a win in their opening two games losing 2-1 at home to Egypt and 1-0 at Uganda over the weekend.
They sit at the bottom of Group E in the qualifiers after losing their first two games against Egypt and Uganda.
The 66 year old was appointed in January following the departure of Claude Leroy.
