Ghana will be counting on the support of South Africans to steer the Black Stars to their fifth Africa Cup of Nations title after the host nation was eliminated from the tournament.

Cape Verde coach Lucio Antunes says a referee with a bigger profile should have been to handle their Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final clash with Ghana.

Despite a flattering 2-0 scoreline, and an unconvincing victory, Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan said winning was all that mattered in their Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final match on Saturday.
