Tema, Dec. 26, GNA - The Reverend Dzidzor Etse Atsakpo, Senior Pastor of A. M. E Zion Church, Tema Metropolitan Society, has advised Christians to use the Christmas occasion to reflect on their relationship with God as the year 2019 fades.
He said Christmas celebration was often characterized with parties, eating and drinking, making people forget the main reason for the occasion.
"Christmas is not only about eating, drinking and making merry, rather it is a moment of reflection, looking deep into yourself and assessing your walk with God."
Rev Atsakpo was delivering his Christmas message on the theme, "In Him is Life."
He said many people depended on their affluence and the properties they owned and ignored the things of God.
He said "life is not in the abundance of the things you have, but life is in Jesus the Christ, the son of the living God."
He advised Christians to look up to God especially in time of their insufficiency and he would supply their needs.
He also encouraged them to have a good relationship with neighbours and show love and kindness to whoever crossed their path during and after Christmas.
