Wiamoase, (Ash), Dec. 21, GNA – Mrs Akosua Frema Osei Opare, Chief of Staff, has appealed to school heads and teachers to ensure the maximum use of computers made available to pupils to help enhance their studies and technological skills.
She said it was not proper for school heads to put computers supplied or donated to enhance teaching and learning in schools, under lock and key, denying pupils the opportunity to learn and use computers at school.
Mrs Osei Opare made the call at Wiamoase in the Sekyere South District, when she presented 100 computers to schools in the community.
The computers were donated by the Ghana Investment for Electronic Communication (GIFEC), as part of efforts to promote teaching and learning of ICT in rural communities.
The beneficiary schools were Wiamoase Presby ‘A’ and ‘B’ basic schools, Salvation Army basic schools, SDA basic schools, Grace and Glory School, Deen Islamic basic schools, Methodist basic schools, Kokoteasua D/A school, Mpaeso SDA basic schools and Saviour basic school.

She pledged to work with all stakeholders in the area to promote speedy development of the district.
