Accra, Dec 4, GNA - The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed receipt of US$ 100,000 from the Davies and Davies law firm as being 10% legal fees paid by Globacom to the GFA.
In a Press Release signed by the Communication Department of the Association, it said “subsequent to our press release dated Friday 29th November, 2019 on the above subject, the Ghana Football Association wishes to confirm that the US$100,000 being 10% of the One million arbitration money paid to Davies & Davies Law Firm by the former Normalisation Committee of the GFA as legal fees for retrieving the money from Glo, has been returned to the FA by the recipient.
“The money was returned to the GFA today, Tuesday December 3, 2019 and it has since been deposited into the accounts of the FA.”
The swift payment was after the former President of the Normalisation Committee, Dr Kofi Amoah directed the Law firm to return the 10 per cent after public outcry.
