Pakyi No 2 (C/R), Nov. 13, GNA - Mobile Telecommunication Network (MTN) Ghana on Thursday presented to the chiefs and people of Egyaa No 2, a cheque for GH¢3,000.00 in support of the 2019 Okyir festival.
MTN also committed GH¢5,000.00 in support of various infrastructural projects in the community and presented recharge cards worth GH¢1,000.00, hampers and drinks.
Mr Prince Owusu Nyarko, the Senior Manager for Western and Central Regions, said the effort was to reciprocate massive support given by the public leading to the success of the company.
He expressed MTN’s resolve to promote the nation's cultural heritage and values through festivals which boost tourism and brings about economic development.
“MTN Ghana is committed to supporting economic empowerment initiatives as an integral part of their commitment to give back to society through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), “Mr Nyarko said.
Among others, the company would mount yellow markets to offer excellent customer services to all clients in addition to a mammoth street carnival through the principal streets of Cape Coast.
The company would also carry out data activations throughout the festive period at vantage points to give the customers some level of excitement.
Nana Ostew Kuma VI, Chief of Egyaa No 2 and the Ankobeahen of Anomabo State, commended MTN for the support and rallied their continuous support towards the festival.
He assured the management of MTN that the festival would offer lots of activities that the company could use to propagate its products and services to the people in the area.
