Breman Asikuma (C/R), Nov. 13, GNA - Group Captain Ebenezer Kwesi Ofori, a retired Air Force Officer, has been installed Banboorhen for Breman Traditional Area, under the stool name Kentinka Ofori Amanfo I.
The Banboorhen Kentinka Ofori Amanfo I, was earlier in the day carried in a palanquin through the principal streets of the Breman Asikuma township amidst Frontomfrom drumming and brass band music and dancing to the forecourt of the traditional shrine of the town.
He was then taken through all the traditional and customary rites and later sworn before the sub and divisional chiefs, and finally took the oath of office and allegiance before Odeafo Amoakwa Buadu VIII, Paramount Chief of Breman Asikuma and the President of Breman Traditional Council.
As per the tradition of the area, Kentinka Amanfo I, was given a drink by Odeafo Amoakwa Buadu VIII to symbolize his installation as Banboorhen of the traditional area.
Kentinka Amanfo I expressed his appreciation to Odeafo Amoakwa Buadu VIII, Sub and Divisional Chiefs, his family and all the people and promised to use his skills and knowledge to assist the traditional council to facilitate the speedy development of the area.
He pledged to collaborate with the security agencies to ensure that there is total sanity in the area for free movement of the residents.
