Prof Bawole said for Mr Quao to have worked across all regimes showed that his neutrality was not in doubt and urged them not to allow politicians to push their agenda through the Civil Service, adding “CLOGSAG is a faceless body, which could push politicians to keep their oaths of office.
Touching on the remuneration and condition of Service of the Civil Servants, he said, “That should be looked at again because it is not good enough. It is time to have national forum on the remuneration of Civil Servants “.
Dr Evans A. Dzikum, President of CLOGSAG, said the award was in fulfilment of CLOGSAG’s commitment to supporting the government’s efforts to recognise staff who distinguished themselves over the years and also raise the morale of the dedicated and selfless workers.
He congratulated the awardees and urged others to try their best to catch the eyes of the scouts for ensuring recognition for the enviable Nathan Anang Quao Award and pledged CLOGSAG’s preparedness to continue sponsoring the Awards on yearly basis.
“CLOGSAG will forever remain grateful to the Chief of Staff for her facilitation of Government’s partnership in sensitising our constituents on the neutrality project,” he added.
Dr Dzikum also applauded the enormous support from the Head of Civil Service, Nana Agyekum Dwamena and the head of the Local Government Service, Nana Ato Arthur.
