The BPPI said the success achieved in rescuing the Canadian girls proved the efficiency and effectiveness of Ghana’s security system.
A statement signed by Mr Kwabena Adu Koranteng, the Chief Executive of the BPPI, and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra said the security agencies by that operation had given an assurance that the country and its territories are highly secured.
The statement urged the security agencies to work hard to rescue the other Kidnapping related cases, especially the Takoradi Kidnapped Girls.
“We know you are reliable, strong and capable of handling such delicate security issues. Since 1957 you have protected the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ghana and we believe you will continue with the good work,” the statement said.
It would be recalled that two Canadian girls were kidnapped in the Ashanti Regional capital Kumasi but were rescued on June, 12.
Nine suspected Kidnappers were arrested in the process and airlifted to Accra and among the key suspects are three Nigerians and six Ghanaians.
