In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Duayaw-Nkwanta Mrs Veronica A. Adu-Saforo, the Tano North Municipal Director of Education said the candidates were drawn from 56 public and 11 private schools.
All the pregnant girls were from the public schools.
She said 12 absentees, comprising seven boys and four girls were recorded at the examination centres, saying some of them had travelled abroad whilst others could not be traced.
Mrs Adu-Saforo advised the candidates to guard against examination malpractice, which included; cheating and sending foreign materials to the examination hall.
