He also extended the salutation to all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs).
“In the two years that I have been at the helm, I have led NALAG as President, but it is you, our honorable Assembly Members and MMDCEs who have been the engine of the local Government system.
“I want to specially thank you all for your solidarity and team spirit that propelled us through to where we are at the moment,” Felix Annang-La said on the sidelines of his last campaign tour in the Ashanti Region.
The election is scheduled to come off in Sunyani, the capital of the Bono Region.
According to the incumbent President, the past two years had not been a walk in the park for NALAG, which faced many lawsuits and also logistical problems among others.
“But through it all, we have remained as one unit with a common purpose and tackled the difficulties together. I salute you, comrades in service to our motherland, you who spend sleepless nights just to ensure that the wheels of our Local Government machinery is grinding on, no matter what the obstacles.”
The NALAG, President said he looked forward to more days of solidarity and teamwork from the Assembly Members, a connotation to the fact that he was likely to win the election .
Meanwhile, one of the two contenders for the NALAG Presidency, Mr Bismark Nkum, who is also the DCE for Gomoa West, has praised Nii Annang-La for his sense of industry.
Earlier, Mr Nkum, like the incumbent NALAG President, was on one of his campaign tours in the Northern region when he crossed paths with his opponent, incumbent NALAG president.
It was the incumbent President who surprisingly introduced the Gomoa West DCE to the delegates as one of his contenders.
Following from there, Mr Nkum was given the floor and he used it to praise Nii Annang-La as a good leader and a fine gentleman.
