Accra, June 11, GNA - The National Sports Authority (NSA), will hold a stakeholders meeting on Wednesday, June 12, at the Accra Sports Stadium ahead of the semi-final clash of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Normalization Committee (NC) Special Competition Tier Two match between Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.
A statement from the NSA and copied to the GNA Sports said, it is very important to have representatives of both clubs and all stakeholders that matter in the game to discuss and deliberate on ways of having an incident free match, on Sunday, June 16, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
According to the statement, “the meeting would offer stakeholders an opportunity to discuss ways of ensuring an incident free event, since the match is a category “A” game”.
It however cautioned fans who will throng the stadium to desist from any acts of indiscipline or hooliganism.
“The security would not hesitate to apprehend and prosecute culprits as has been done in recent times.
“We also urge the leadership of the two clubs to step-up the education of their supporters to comport themselves before, during and after the match in order to have a successful game and we wish the two clubs the best of luck and may the better side carry the day”.
