Two customers of Stanbic bank wins AFCON promo

Accra, June 02, GNA - Two customers of Stanbic Bank on Friday won the Visa card promotion to travel to Egypt to watch the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

They were Isaac Gyaw Obuobi from Takoradi branch and Daniel Christopher Hesse-Tetteh, Airport City branch, Accra

The customers won the promotion during a draw supervised by the National Lottery Authority (NLA) in Accra.

Stanbic Bank Ghana earlier launched the Visa card promotion to encourage customers to swipe their cards in payment, for goods and services at Point of Sales and in online transactions.

The promotion, dubbed 'Visa Swipe to AFCON Campaign,’ was run in partnership with Visa Worldwide, to give the highest card user together with his/her partner, a travel package to Egypt to watch the AFCON tournament.

Nana Dwemoh Benneh, Head of Personal and Business Banking, said the Visa promotion added to the exciting customer focused promotions and services planned for the year to ensure an enhanced banking experience for customers.

“For the past years we have always brought you products and services to meet the various needs of our cherished customers in Ghana and beyond".

He said through the campaign the bank would encourage most of its cherished and potential customers to get used to new banking through their cards in the comfort of their homes.

He said in all 10 lucky customers would stand the chance to win tickets to watch the tournament and encouraged customers to participate in the promotion.

He encouraged existing and new Stanbic customers with Visa cards to start swiping to pay for goods and services at shopping centres, restaurants and hotels or online, to qualify for the promotion.

Adoma Pepprah, Country Manager of Visa said her outfit was proud to be associated with the campaign.

She said Visa had supported major sporting events across the globe and would continue to provide their support for events that would promote the continent as and when the opportunities come.

Each customer is expected to swipe (use card) a minimum of 14 times in a month to stand a chance of winning 1 out of 5 double tickets for the AFCON in Egypt.
