Accra, May 13, GNA – Galaxy International School celebrated its 15th Annual Science and Makers’ Fair, with the aim of encouraging the study of science and scientific innovation among students to make the school a leading science school.
The event was on the theme: “Imagine, Invent and inspire”, brought together students from public and private schools, parents, diplomats and educationists to see appreciate scientific innovations of the students of the Galaxy International School.
There were over one hundred exhibits displaying various projects by the students in the course of the year.
Among the projects showcased were robots built with water bottles, the application of Pythagoras theorem, model cars, jet fighters, using small space technology to grow vegetables, a 3D printer, hologram and robotic arm.
Mr Cafer Tepeli, the Principal of the School, said the science and makers’ fair was a special way of encouraging the study of science and bridging the gaps between the school and other schools.
“This is why students of other schools were not only to observe the scientific display of their Galaxy counterparts but also to present their own projects for display,” he said.
