Kumasi, May 10, GNA – MTN has launched in Kumasi, the Ashantifest, one of the regional festivals, designed to be held across the country, to promote the rich culture of the communities in which it operates.
The occasion is an annual ritual during which MTN organizes various events in ‘customer-base’ communities contributing to its growth, to appreciate their loyal patronage.
This year’s event would like always, be marked with public health screening, health walk and a movie session, as a distinct feature.
Speaking at a media engagement in Kumasi prior to its launch, Mr. Sam Koranteng, the Corporate Service Executive of MTN, reiterated that it still stands by its mission and vision to create a bold new digital world and to make the life of customers a whole world brighter, respectively.
He said this is summarized in MTN’s B-R-I-G-H-T, an adopted acrostic with each letter explaining what MTN stands for.
Launching it, Mr. Nii Addotey Mingle, MTN Manager for the Northern sector, said the Ashantifest, would be characterized by customer care and engagement programmes - a 21 day Y’ello care, which would take place in June.
Festivals held in other regions include, Suncity Fest in the Bono, Koftown fest, for Eastern and the Savanna Fest, in the Northern Regions.
