Accra, April 24, GNA - Mr Samuel Mawusi Asafo, the Chief Executive officer of Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants, Ghana, has announced that the Institute will hold its conference on July 23, 2019.
The conference, which will be on the theme: "Growing Together as Administrative Professionals Partnering in National Development," will bring together all administrators in the country to grow their professional competencies and improve service delivery.
It would also raise awareness about the role played by administrators in the country's socio-economic development.
Mr Asafo said administrators played key strategic roles in the smooth running of organisations business plans, and needed to empower members on the tenets of best administrative services.
He said the conference would help to inspire administrative support staff to develop their professional abilities and be abreast with emerging trends in the sector.
"Administrators cut across every discipline and need to be given the needed attention. They constitute the support system of every corporate organisation", he added.
He said countries like; the United States, Australia, instituted Administrators Day to celebrate and recognise the profession in nation building.
As part of activities for the conference, the Institute would hold seminars, Employee Appreciation Day to boost workers’ morale and radio and television discussion on the importance of Administrators in the country.
Dr Nana Ato Arthur, Head of Local Government Service, commended the organisers for the initiative, saying the Institute's programme was in line with International and Innovation award within the public service.
He said the Institute's programmes were designed to raise standards of practitioners in the profession and organised professional licensing programmes for them.
Dr Arthur appealed to all administrators to register with the Institute and partake in the activities to build their professional capacities.
