Accra, Match 25, GNA - Police Ladies, Halifax Ladies, and Ampem Darkoa have cruised to the last eight of the Normalization Committee Special Women’s Competition (NCSWC) in their respective groups.
Having played five matches, Police Ladies and Halifax ladies amassed 12 points and ten points respectively in Group D, to advance to the next stage of the competition with a game to spare, whilst Ampem Darkoa also booked a ticket to the next stage with nine points ahead of Prison Ladies, Mukarama Abdulai’s Northern Ladies and Pearlpia Ladies in Group B.
Police ladies, who defeated Immigration Ladies 3-1 in match-day five over the weekend won four games and lost one to maintain the top spot in Group D, two points clear of Halifax with Samaria Ladies occupying the third position with four points, with Immigration ladies at the bottom with 3 points.
In Group B where Ampem Darkoa have sealed qualification, it would be a battle for the gods in the last match on Wednesday to determine who qualifies.
However, Prison Ladies with eight points and Northern Ladies on five, it appears the former are in a better position to progress.
The remaining six clubs that joins Police Ladies and Halifax ladies will be determined in the final match.
The quarter-finalists would pocket GHc3,000 each from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Normalisation Committee.
