Kumasi, March 23, GNA - Fidelity Bank has opened an ultra-modern digital branch at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science Technology (KNUST) campus to provide students, staff and residents with best banking services in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere.
The new office, located in the business hub of KNUST, is an addition to the over 75 branches of the Bank across the country.
Mr Kwabena Boateng, the Divisional Director, Corporate and Investment Banking, indicated that the move was part of the Bank’s objective to get closer to the youth and students in Kumasi and provide better customer experiences to the numerous clients.
“As our customer base expands, we are also committed to providing convenient services in a friendly atmosphere at all our branches,” he said.
He disclosed that Fidelity Student Account holders could now have access to recently upgraded services, which included mobile app, where customers can perform payments such as account to wallet and reverse transactions, transact airtime top-ups, make utility and cashless payments using the Fidelity QR Code Service known as the F-Pay.
International transfers, FX sales, travel notices in addition to local account transfers, are the other upgraded services.
According to Mr Boateng, the Bank had introduced an e-lounge to facilitate a convenient and self-service experience to the students and the academic body of the University and provide a priority service for lecturers.
There was also a salaried account package that allowed lecturers and administrators to access loans and salary advances.
Added to these, he said, the Bank had collaborated with its lifestyle partners to give whopping discounts, ranging from 0-15 per cent, to customers who used the Fidelity Visa cards to transact business with selected service providers such as Delta Airlines, Appolonia City, and Exotic Trends Salon.
Mr Boateng said the Bank would continue to hold onto good banking ethics and promote customer satisfaction.
Mrs Rita Dickson, the Pro-Vice Chancellor of KNUST, commended Fidelity Bank for supplying the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly with over 500 dustbins last year and appealed for support in the University’s “Let there be Light Campaign” to provide better illumination at every corner of the campus.
“We believe that the presence of Fidelity Bank will definitely leave an indelible imprint on the landscape of this campus just as it has done in other parts of the country,” she stated.
The Bank also provides agency banking to customers.
