Ho, March 13, GNA - The Ho Technical University (HTU) Student Representative Council (SRC) in collaboration with AMI Pictures will this weekend show the much anticipated “Virgins and de-virgins” staged play at the G.M. Afeti Auditorium at the University.
The play, which received massive patronage in Accra (University of Ghana), Winneba (University of Education, Winneba), and Akropong will be taken to Kumasi and Takoradi after Ho.
The play is also expected to be restaged at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Ho, on March 17.
Mr Lawrence P. Senam Quashigah, the playwright, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said Ho as a new terrain held a lot of possibilities for the entertainment industry and that HTU was a perfect venue for the play.
He said Accra was overwhelmed with theatres and entertainment experiences, leaving other cities outside the capital behind.
Mr Quashigah asked patrons to expect suspense, comedy, exceptional good performance with issues to ponder over.
“Virgins and de-virgins” is a stage play which talks about a virgin couple who after a year of marriage had not consummated their union.
They planned to finally “de-virgin” themselves but unbeknownst to each of them, they had their own nefarious plans awaiting the night.
L. P. Senam Quashigah is noted for plays and movies such as “Our Wives” (2014), Comedy of Black Gorillas (2015), Black barber and expected to come out with “If Men became Pregnant” in October this year.
