Accra, March 12, GNA - Dr. Kwame Kyei, the Executive Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, has express appreciation to all supporters of the club, for their massive attendance and support, during their game against Al Hilal of Sudan, last Sunday in the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Confederation Cup at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi.
The Porcupine Warriors grossed over GH¢516.00, as gate proceeds, the second highest of this year’s Africa campaign.
Speaking after his team’s 1-1 draw at home to Al Hilal, he said, he has never seen such a massive support and urged the supporters not to be discouraged, but keep supporting the club.
According to Dr. Kyei, he was confident the club would qualify to the next stage of the competition.
“Even if we get eliminated from this stage, it won’t be stumbling block between me and my God and I will continue praising and worshiping him to the extreme,” he said.
He said, he was very happy with the result and believed they can go to Zambia and beat ZESCO United to book their qualification to the next stage.
Kotoko would depart Ghana on Tuesday to Zambia to face ZESCO United in the must win encounter of the last round of games in the group stage on Sunday, March 17.
