Accra, Feb. 26, GNA - Mrs Amma Korantemaa Ansah, the General Manager of Resources, Enterprise Group, has called on young ladies to discover their purpose and confidently pursue a career path strategically, which would propel them to the top.
“Seeing your purpose will help you to discover who you are, what you stand for, where you want to go, how to get there and the key people to support you on the journey for accomplishment of your purpose in life,” she said.
“Self-awareness is the key thing and you need to know what you want.”
Mrs Ansah said this at a seminar organised by Ladies War Room, an organisation, which assists women with relationship, career and maternal health issues, in collaboration with Candid Issues, a social platform to help women deal with daily challenges.
The seminar touched on personal grooming and branding, relationship, career issues, discovering one’s purpose and confidence in women.
Mrs Ansah, who spoke on: “Discovering our Purpose and Determining our Career Path,” called on young ladies to develop a professional career in order to live a fulfilled live.
Dr Kudzo Seneadza, the Medical Doctor at the University for Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) Clinic, who took participants through; “How to attract your ideal partner and keep him/her,” said there were no rules or regulations to that and the only answer is grace.
He said as Christian youth they should choose partners based on Biblical principles and not to sacrifice their dignity on the altar of immediate pleasure.
Mrs Franca Ama Ani, the Chief Executive Officer of Candid Issues, encouraged women to discover themselves, stop believing marriage is the greatest achievement in life and find fulfilment in what they discover.
She cautioned ladies to be careful and not to take decisions based on emotions but should think through issues critically before taking a final decision, adding; “Don’t rush through issues”.
“Women are the strength of the world. confidence is what we need to move on in life. If you are confident enough, you will be able to face any challenge that comes your way. confidence teaches you to believe in yourself, to accept yourself and know who you are.”
Mrs Baaba Cofie, Lecturer at Wisconsin International University, who spoke on “Personal grooming and branding,” said branding went beyond the physical entities like name, logo, and colours.
She urged the ladies to develop a life mission statement in order to build a brand and be guided by values such as reliability, integrity, and innovation.
Other speakers included Mrs Sandra Tei-Dornoo, Founder of Nissi Nissi Services; Mrs Abue Dobgey, the Executive Director of Ladies War Room who spoke on behalf of the Founder, Mr Delasie Dobgey.
