Accra, Feb.21 GNA - Madam Yvette Brown, Director at Seven Great Princess Academy School, has said they are waiting for the completion of the renovation works at the Kaneshie Sports Complex, which has compelled them to defer their sporting activities for the year.
According to her, Seven Great Princess Academy, noted for its academic and sporting prowess in the country, had held on to all sporting activities, which was previously organized at the Kaneshie Sports Complex, which is being converted into a multi-purpose youth and resource centre.
In an interview with GNA Sports, she said, she was impressed with the progress of work on the facility adding that they were anxiously waiting for its completion.
“We know the value and importance of sports in the lives of our students, so we place much value on it. The school has provided one of the finest local and international players in the country - Asamoah Gyan and we are bent on producing more as we blend academics with sports”.
Madam Brown apologized to parents for lack of sporting activities by the school, adding that they were counting on the contractor to complete work on schedule.
“We take this opportunity to apologize to all parents and guardians for the delay in this year’s events. With Seven Great Princess Academy being an all-round educational centre where we place much emphasis on education, sports, sciences and all, we would continue to nurture budding talents in the country”.
