Accra, Feb. 18, GNA - Management of AirtelTigo has launched the AirtelTigo Business to provide Communications solutions for Small, Medium and Enterprises (SMEs), Corporate, Educational institutions and government agencies.
The service is a tailored solution for specific needs of businesses and organizations to grow and be profitable, taking into consideration the changing trends.
Mrs Mitwa Ng'ambi, the Chief Executive Officer of AirtelTigo, speaking at the launch, said "we remain a committed partner to Ghana's socio-economic development and the launch confirmed the commitment."
She said the way of doing business now was very different from what it used to be a few years ago, now for businesses to stay competitive, they needed to be more agile, more efficient, more innovative and generally, just continue to run and evolve with the changing times.
She said emerging Enterprises were key growth drivers for the economy and "we see immense opportunity in serving not only the well-established corporate and government agencies but also the vast SMEs.
The CEO said the company's obligation was to ensure that businesses were set up for success, by having a solid communication platform of which they could grow.
She said AirtelTigo Business was a total business solution provider and as a result they have developed an array of solutions including mobile solutions, fixed lines, Internet connectivity and hosting services among others.
She reiterated that AirtelTigo Business was here to make businesses simple and help grow and evolve, adding that, that was part of their wider vision of a better life for all its customers.
Mr Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, applauded AirtelTigo management and staff for the successful completion of its network integration and upgrade last year, describing the integration as unprecedented in the telecommunications industry in Ghana.
He also commended AirtelTigo for introducing AirtelTigo Business to help businesses realize their full potential with the wide portfolio of digital solutions offered to customers.
The Deputy Minister said; “I am happy to note that AirtelTigo Business aims to address connectivity solutions for businesses with its total communications solution agenda and is already serving some of the largest businesses in the country.”
He said the Ministry of Trade and Industry, with its allied agencies and partners, were ready to support business initiatives to create jobs and transform communities.
“The government will continue to support individuals, SMEs and other businesses to adopt ICT solutions to enhance their business operations so they can contribute to the growth of the economy,” he added.
