Accra, Jan. 30, GNA - The Dufia of Kedzi, Togbi Joachim Acolatse V, has said, there are numerous investment opportunities and vast natural resources, at Kedzi in the Volta Region.
He said the opportunities were enormous and called on investors to take advantage of the situation and invest in the area.
Speaking at the launch of this year's "Novikpogbe Za" festival under theme "Harnessing local resources for socio-economic development" Togbi Joachim Acolatse V, was optimistic that the festival would lead to the development of Kedzi.
According to Togbi Joachim Acolatse V, the recent Executive Instrument signed by President Akufo-Addo, would pave way for the effective utilization of its natural resources.
"As Dufia of Kedzi, my overall vision is to see the development of an optimistic, self-confident and prosperous Kedzi, through the creative exploitation of our human and natural resources, operating within a democratic, open and fair society in which mutual trust and economic opportunities exist for all," he said.
Togbi Joachim Acolatse V also reiterated the importance of the festival, which takes place during the Easter festive period, as a medium that brings together the people of Kedzi and surroundings.
Madam Elizabeth Afoley Quaye, Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, said, the festival and the other projects in Kedzi falls in line with the government’s policy of industrializing the country which seeks to create employment.
The Minister, applauded the people of Kedzi, for taking the lead in identifying the potential areas for development by the institution of the festival.
