Nkawkaw (E/R), Jan. 29, GNA - Three persons sustained injuries when an articulated truck crashed into their mini- bus at the outskirt of Fodoa on the Nkawkaw to Kumasi highway.
The injured are, Thomas Agyemang, 48, driver of the bus, 30 years old driver’s mate, identified only as Joe and a third passenger passenger, Abugri Mustapha, 22,. They have been admitted at the Holy Family Hospital at Nkawkaw.
The Eastern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ebenezer Tetteh, told the Ghana News Agency that the impact of the crash caused the mini bus to run into a stationary tipper truck resulting in a severe damage to the mini- bus.
He said it took the police and fire service personnel an hour to rescue the driver of the mini-bus.
DSP Tetteh said the three persons in the mini-bus were conveyed to the Holy Family Hospital at Nkawkaw where they are responding to treatment.
He said the two drivers of the tipper and the articulated trucks are yet to be identified.
