Bolgatanga, Jan. 13, GNA – A lay preacher at the Saint Cyprian Anglican Church in Bolgatanga on Sunday admonished Parishioners to look beyond accepting their failures as conditions destined by God.
Brother Hilary Akuka said “God has given man the power to dominate the earth and has every power to determine our destinies through his blessings and directions”.
Speaking on the theme: “the great commission”, the lay preacher said “no man receives this great commission and have their lives being the same”.
He said God’s favour finds people who have pure and harmless heart and that God’s commissioning of his anointed is without prejudice.
Brother Akuka said the devil was working so hard to bring humanity down to his fold and that as long as Christians remained chaste and lived new lives, they were bound to overcome every plan designed by the devil to attract them.
He said as the year unfurls members of the congregation needed the grace and favour of Christ to keep and follow their resolutions for the year; “without Christ in our plans we are bound to fail in our resolutions and so we need Christ in everything we plan to execute in the year”.
He reiterated that in spite of the various hands of righteousness in Christ, the devil was still determined to spite God and win Christian souls to his kingdom on earth.
He charged members of the congregation to remain steadfast and pray for strengthened faith to resist the devil and his cohorts in their attempt to destroy God’s people.
