Accra, Jan. 17, GNA – Youth for Comfort International, Non Governmental Organization (NGO), is partnering with the Export and Import Bank of Ghana to support the youth in the One District One Factory (1D1F) programme.
The support of the youth empowerment NGO is expected to help alleviate the level of youth unemployment in the country.
Mr Lawrence Agyinsam, the CEO of Eximbank, speaking on the need to participate in the programme, urged the youth to engage themselves in activities related to the 1D1F, saying “they were ready to support them”.
“We believe in empowering the youth and what they can do, that is why we are ready to support them as they engage in the programme” he said.
Mr Antwi Agyei, the Technical Advisor for the 1D1F, urged the public to support the programme as it would increase the country’s foreign exchange earnings.
“Over 79 projects in the 1D1F are expected to be completed by the end of the year,” he said.
Mr Agyei said that the secretariat is working tirelessly in its bid to ensure that the programme becomes a success.
Mr Kwaku Gyasi, the Public Relations Officer for the IDIF, said any participant in the programme would gain as it would expose to them to a plethora opportunities.
“We believe they are poised to support the programme by engaging themselves, so we will assist them in the process” the PRO said.
The One District One Factory is a programme introduced by the government to reduce unemployment in the country and increase foreign exchange.
